Master's Thesis Opportunities
Thesis supervision and co-supervision for Master's students from Algeria
I regularly receive requests from Master's students enrolled at Algerian universities and higher education institutions who are interested in conducting their Master's thesis under my supervision or co-supervision.
I am happy to consider such requests when the student's background and interests align with our research activities and when the necessary arrangements can be made with the student's home institution.
Thesis topics
In most cases, we propose the thesis topic together with the student. The aim is to identify a research question that lies within our core research areas, can be properly supervised by our team, and matches the student's background, skills, and interests.
Students are also welcome to approach me with their own ideas or topics proposed by their home institution. We can consider these when they are sufficiently aligned with our research areas and supervision expertise.
You therefore do not need to have a thesis topic or research proposal before contacting me.

How to apply
If you are interested in conducting your Master's thesis under my supervision or co-supervision, please contact me via my work email address or at [email protected].
In your first email, please include:
- Your CV
- Your academic transcripts
- The name of your university or school and degree programme
- Your main research interests and technical skills
- Your expected thesis period
- A proposed topic or area of interest, if you already have one
Based on this information, we can assess whether there is a suitable topic within our current research activities.
Institutional requirements
Before contacting me, please check with your university or school whether an official agreement, convention, or other administrative arrangement is required for external supervision, co-supervision, or a research stay.
If such an agreement is required, please contact me as early as possible. Administrative and legal procedures between institutions can take several weeks, and arrangements cannot always be completed at short notice.
Funding and financial support
Please note that we cannot provide funding, a salary, stipend, or other financial compensation for Master's students through this arrangement.
We are nevertheless happy to consider hosting students whose expenses are covered by their home institution, a scholarship or mobility programme, or another third-party funding source.
Students planning a research stay with us in Germany should therefore ensure that they have appropriate funding to cover their travel, accommodation, insurance, and living expenses.
Selection
Please understand that contacting me does not guarantee supervision. I can only accept a limited number of students. Requests are considered based on the student's academic background and skills, alignment with our research areas, the availability of a suitable thesis topic, our supervision capacity, and the feasibility of the required institutional arrangements.
